Hi guys a bit of information i wanted to pass on,

Firstly I DO NOT work for a car yard. and yes this is my first post on ftoaustralia.com, i joined up after taking my legnum on a cruise with some of you guys through the blue mountains and i'm actually pretty keen on droping a mivec 6A12 into a mirage. Anyway...

I am close friends with an import yard who pride themselves on selling good quality honest condition cars. The guys sometimes let me use their access to go through the jap auctions so i can drool over all the cars i wish i could buy.

After a while you start to see cars which end up in yards here in Sydney. These are 3 prime examples of wound back cars from one of the very dishonest dealers on Parramatta road.

I once test drove one of this guys cars during which he told me he could give me a better best trade in price than any one else on my old car because he would probably get it cleaned up at the yard and then sell the car privately so he wouldn't have to road worthy the car or provide warranty.

I am posting this information as a service to people so they can avoid getting ripped off by this scumbag, i have seen what some people do to make money out of imports and peole like us that buy them. There are so many cars that this type of dealer sells that shouldn't even be on Australian roads

I do have other examples of cars on this yard that are wound back so PM me if you want me to send them to you. Also for those that dont believe me you can check the engine/chassis numbers if you really want...

Actually, I can back this up. Bought my Legnum from those guys (All Imports). Bought it with 53K on it. Gearbox died at "supposedly" 90K. Car itself looked in good condition, but the mob that fixed my gearbox said it had done more kms than that for sure.

Its not hard to take the dials out of a smashed low km fto and put it in a high km fto or do engine swaps
Its not always the dealers as they could have been lied to as well
