Question for Bennoz or anyone that has obtained an eng cert

Trying to get the boat engineer certified. I seem to remember you've got someone you trust to do the eng cert Bennoz ?
Wondering if i can pick their brain a bit to get the car in a passable state then probably get them to cert it ? Is he easy on mods or a hardarse lol.
