ok,

ive been away overseas for the past 4 weeks and came back to find that my rear view mirror looks very different.

It looks like moisture has soaked through under the glass? And now its blackening around the edges in certain areas.

Has anyone had this happen or understand what i mean??

Please help,

Cass

yep, have that problem with a few of the ones I have lying around. Not much you can do other than replace it I think.

how do you replace it? is there something you can peel back and put a replacement in place or does the whole mirror segment need to be removed? (meaning lights and all)

Whole mirror, lights and all I think. There may be a way to get the glass out, but in the end itll probably cost about the same as getting a complete replacement 2nd hand. You wont be able to repair the existing glass so would have to get a custom cut done and would be surprised if the cost of that + your time in buggerising around trying to get it out/back in didnt easily equal the cost of a complete replacement.
