On mine the cluster dimmer is to the right under the steering column (right under the dash) the knob might have fallen off so it could just be a bit of metal poking through that you can twist... strange place to put it if its supposed to go there but i havent really checked out other FTOs that thouroughly.
The FM aerial i believe is in part of the wiring in the rear window(?)

OK, dimmer was never released with the car. Under the old compliance laws, they had to be fitted, which is why you see some FTO's with them. Under the new laws, not necessary.
There are 2 configurations for Aerials. If you bought the option from the factory, an electric aerial was fitted in the passengers rear guard, otherwise, the aerial is built into the rear window.

I think it depends on the option. You could choose which one you wanted. My 94 has it through window but my 95 COTY had it in the rear guard. I thought though I had seen later models without the aerial in the guard though.

Yeah, its an option, it didnt change over. You either bought the car with it or without. You can retro fit the aeriel in the guard (ive done it), but you need the switch, the wiring loom from the aerial back to the dash and you need to splice 2 wires into the appropriuate plug in the loom for it to work.

since there is also the demister in the rear window - how can you tell if its an aerial as well. I did notice with the demister (rear) turned on - my radio reception goes to crap
