Tend to agree ^^

But if there's call for it, let everyone speak now or forever hold your peace.

could be handy.

iphones might be for girls, but they're for girls that are up to date grandma

Meanwhile, for my site, I simply made a mobile compatible theme that was faster to load.
Doubting Ben wants to go that extreme which is fair enough.

Haha iPhone's are for girls? Well there are a lot of girls out there then hehe.

Speed is only a part of the app though. Navigation is easier, push notifications for PM's, when people reply to threads your subscribed to etc. It's a just a free plug-in that takes a couple of mins to install. This little girl doesn't get the chance to sit at desktop much anymore but I do use my girly phone heaps and heaps in my spare time whilst I'm 'mobile'. This would just make FTO Club of Australia so much more accessible. :bounce:

Not really.

There is a mod with a style involved, which is what I have done, but takes a bit more work....

There is, & im happy to look into it, but just bear in mind this, everytime I need to upgrade the board software, I will have inconsistencies.
Inconsistencies with what the php upgrades will expect & therefore will have to manually hand modify php files moving forward.
Board mods can be great, but also a massive headache. Its why I've been hesitant to go ahead with the garage mod, its massive.

Im trying to keep most board additions such as the new gallery as bridges. Very little modification to the forum itself for bridges.
Makes for happy restores in case of failures or host moves.

EDIT: found one... deosn't look too hard...

As nice as they are I prefer the full webpage on my iPhone. These things cut out too many features

I like the idea, especially when browsing on 3G and latency sometimes gets annoying followed by having to download the site themes, pictures, frames, etc. I've used mobile compatible forums before and found them to load instantaneously, alost as if they were integrated apps of the phone. They usually have a really simple layout to reduce load times and make things simpler to use on a smaller skin.

If it can be done without to much problem then go for it, but obviously its not worth using if its too buggy or unstable.

Yeh that's what I like about the idea most koolio. I think it's a pretty stable and reliable little install though. One the biggest forums I am registered at is http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/ (Threads: 1,159,884, Posts: 18,203,708, Members: 864,017). They've been around since 1995 and they give it full support so I think it'll be ok.
