Hey everyone,
Just wondering what oil filters you guys are using at the moment.
Not sure if you have noticed but the Ryco's have been getting bad reviews recently some dodgy batches going through.
Seems like Supercheap only stock Ryco, Autobarn stock only Ryco and Coopers( same as ryco).
regards,
jono

Coopers. Same part number as Ryco, but very different manufacture.

I hate coopers and will not buy again. Both I have brought have leaked. I brought ryco last time but next time I am just going genuine.

Another options is the K&N filter (HP 1010), both Auto One & Rocket sell these. About $30 each.
The stock oil filter from Mitsubishi (MZ690115) is only around $11 though.
Or you could go the Ralliart Filter (RAY57016), last I checked these were $115

did u try cross referencing for other applications that also use the same known part numbers for the FTO? ie the FTO may not be listed but there may be another car listed that uses the same filter.

Yeah I've been running a K&N on the racecar, also bought a genuine so will probably put this on next then cut them both open and have a look before deciding on which one to stick with.
Really though for general street use at $10/$11 u're probably best to stick with genuine.

go genuine!
apart from that. valvoline shows quality, thick metal and paint job at the outer shell. almost twice the weight of coopers and ryco.

Drift branded filter from Autobarn, generic Z411 fitment, magnet, hex head on end for easy removal & shiny blue!! About $20. Used last few changes, never a leak
