I have been struggling to find a heater core at the moment. No-one seems to have one or hasn't gotten back to me
Found this website
http://scherbragroup.com.au/shop/index.php?cPath=21_55 which supplies heater cores (expensive i know) but ive also found part of their listings which shows that the Lancer CC-CE (10/92-08/04) has exactly the same size core size.
Would this fit the FTO and if so are they easier to source?

well you say that, but i was looking on ebay and found a lancer cc heater core which is the same size according to that website for $98 brand new.
This is why i asked, as i could save myself nearly $200, but i dont want to buy it and find that im stuck with a rubbish core.

Well I am not sure if there is difference mate but judging form the 2 pics on that website you provided they look identical. Maybe some with caps can check it out for you. But then you have the issue with buying a ebay product.... good luck.

yea i know - its a massive gamble buying stuff like this for ebay.
Been getting in contact with some breakers around melbourne and have been told by three that they have heater cores, might go and get one tonight if they don't charge the earth.
But im then buying something which could be 100kms from being knackered.

I'll check ASA, see if there are any compatible Lancer equivalents etc.

Sweet well done, You could take it to a radiator place and for about $30 you can get it pressure tested if your worried.
