Confused......

Hey all,

So, new car, few issues, thought that the heater matrix was busted and so finally got some time to look under the bonnet, behind the manifold to the right (if facing the car) i can see two tubes that go through the firewall, and both are disconnected.

Is this a sgn that my matrix was leaking, i dont really want to connect it and get the car wet, also which pipes have been moved and how easily is it to reconnect them? Read somewhere that the pipes are connected to the aircon, but that makes no sense as the heater runs off the collant from the engine.

Yeah most likely means they have by-passed the heater core as matrix would of been leaking. No need for heaters in OZ anyway ;)

ROFL so much this... an old car of mine got stuck in the Arthurs Pass area (Southern Alps, NZ) in snow 2 feet deep and I had to sleep in it wearing 2 pairs of jeans, 1 jersey and a snow boarding jacket with a hood... didn't even have my beanie.

Next morning was woken up by the sound of the road clearing crew and they had to dig me out as the car had over a foot of snow all over it and a bit of a snow drift against the drivers door. Windows were frozen from the inside rofl XD

You aussie pansies really do need to HTFU
