Has anyone done this in their fto like put say a fold out in dash monitor and had it display their gauges on that?
I absolutely hate the gauges in pillars etc look.
If i had to get a gauge I wonder if you could get it so they could display two readings in one like say one half is oil pressure and the other half oil temperature?
Any feedback appreciated

it's not the prettiest thing in the world, but i can display the gauges from the ECU if I Hook up up a connection to a computer;
There are other bits of software out there that can take sensor readings & turn them into digital dash readouts
have a search through
www.mp3car.com - theres a few options there & some bits of software are fully customisable for whatever you want to make the display look like
if you have the design skills
http://www.palmerperformance.com/
image search in google brings up some nice looking gauges as well;
http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=e ... a=N&tab=wi
you'd be most likely looking for software compatible with ODBII readouts & may need to purchase an interface device / some kind've connector from ECU to PC

carputer ftw
try something small like a netbook and you'll need an ecu which can interface with the computer via serial port, usb, etc

Yup, Haltech version:
Currently running Tacho, Shift light, Gear indicator, MAP (Manfiod pressure - aka boost), Injector Duty Cycle, Coolant core temp, & Battery Voltage.
Just waiting on an oil sender plug before I can add the oil temp & pressure gauges.

yea i looked into this and honestly its prob only a little bit more expencive then the gauges under 1000 for a pretty good carputer with screen i will invest in one some day when im finished with repairs but prob with this is 1 it would be harder to see as your driveing and two harder to change to the next song or cant use maps and gauges or video and gauges so in ways its not as good

Someone should have mentioned, you will need an aftermarket ECU running your engine to do this.....
Possibly that or EvoScan..

cant you use the standard dianostic plug in the engine bay to work off the standard ecu ? thats the impression i got from when i was looking into it they had a plug for it
