Starter Motor Installation

Hey, i got a second hand starter motor. i was wondering how do i install it? i believe its only 2 screws? anything else i need to know?

No you pretty much have it all figured out already. there is however a guide in the DIY section i believe if you need some help along the way.

You may want to use some new bolts though as mine snapped in half when putting them back in

Depending on whether your car is a manual or tip (I think) you may also need to loosen the exhaust near the downpipe to swap them over.

hey im having trouble undoing the top bolt. any idea what size it is and whats the easiest way to get it out?

where abouts are you, maybe one of the local guys can help

there should only be 2 14 size bolts that you need to undo

im in the south west area of sydney. i've unbolted the bottom on. the easiest one but the top on is hard to get to..

its a bolt on each side, there shouldn't be a bolt on top

This mate. You need to come in from the other side of the cross member

one bolt like this and one like this

its all good. thanks guys. cars running all good again. now just need to fix the leak. hmmmm....
