Mine started making this noise as my Alternator began to die.
The mechanic said the noise is due to a weak battery and maybe starter motor starting to die.
When i put a new alternator in, ill let you know if the noise persists.

well I have a blue top so its not the battery and my volts haven't droped at all my step dad sounds like its the starter motor disengaging to slow so looks like I may be buying a new one soon enough
