Stock Intake Box question

Has anyone modified or used the stock intake airbox to hold a pod filter?
I tried, but there were two issues 1. Pod filter too big 2. MAF sensor adaptor does not align.
Any ideas or pics of modified version?
cheers,
Rj

Yip using HKS ram pod (mushroom style)
Had to use adapting plate (normal type you can get from supercheap etc) and slightly modify stock air box to be able to bolt together.
then have flexible tubing runiing directly to bumper for cold air and use two 90 degree elbows and some alloy pipe inbetween to throttle body. The MAF sensor stays where it is

Thanks mate. I guess, I have to hack the air box to remove the fixed bolts for adapter plate to fit.
Just had another question. I am enclosing the pod filter, as I read somewhere in the forum, that its illegal to have an exposed pod filter(although many have it exposed).
Can this be used as an enclosure,as far as legality and cops are concerned?

OR does it have to be in a box?

i made my own box made of aluminum, with insulation materials - the whole thing was based on another member's DIY.
Now when i got the car blue slipped, i specifically asked the guy inspecting the car if the intake was ok, and he said yes it was ok since it is enclosed.

thats a good diy but if i was doing that, i'd be worried about insulation, i dont know how good it will be but its more solid than my setup's material.

Yeah, I am going to use a foam insulation on the inside(just like another DIY had used) and use the sheet from other half of the tool box to enclose the box completely. Having said this, I have no idea or experience cutting/making such metal stuff

. I am going solely with what other members have posted.
Will post some pics, if it turns out good.

Preety sure as long as they can't see the filter you'll be fine buddy.
