is the factory shifter the thing that the gear knob goes on?

I think mine is in pretty poor condition so will changing it give me a better shift feel?

it is but by changing it over would not change the feel of it.

Is that battery box for the engine?

The one without the lid is. The other one is for the boot.

All the parts are from the 6A12 mivec.
