Well if you like the car you should get it put your car up for grabs it may take ten months to sell.
I should add that the car looks hot

Hmm... Looks like an rx I saw come into aus with 2010k's... For about 15k..
Have u owned a rota before???
I have, but it was a 12a.. So not too much to run... But, these rx's will cost a fortune.. Mate of mine has an RZ... He was lucky to pockets it up after it's engine rebuild... You will constantly have to replace half seals and service's cost a bomb.. Unless you like blown engines...
People buy these cars for the love....... Cause you really need it to get you thought the cost...

with 2000kms? for 15k?, nar i neva owned a rota before, an yes ive heard that it cost a fortune to keep this beast running, but in the end its just how u take care of the car, an how u drive it? would parts be expensive?

Oops meant 200,000k's.. I was going to buy it.. But just missed the auction in Japan... And 15k, would have been the price landed complied and rego'd..
Drive it hard.... That is what it is built for... But it is not just parts that kill ya... It is the labour.. You have to practically keep rebuilding the engine, and that takes time... And time = $$.. Especially when a mechanic will be charging u a min of $70 an hour to work on it...
So if u get one, keep a daily driver...

lol but i only have the money to afford one car,

ill see how my panelbeating apprentice go, if it goes well (by meetin more mechanics) then ill get one

so have hook ups ^^

Hmm... I would say leave it till u can afford it without hook ups.. With the maintainance it requires that could wear friendships thin... At least unless it is the owner of the workshop.. Cause it will spend a fair amount of time there...

agreed.
i know its hard to resist. trust me im in the same boat, but listen to craig.
every week i check car sales, always see an s15 i like. i have to tell myself not to get it just because its there and i have some spare cash. my plan was to keep the fto as a daily while i modded another to the roof for my full lisence. im just gona wait it out.
i suggest you do the same, save your cash and once your on your fulls, buy a quality rx7 w/ low k's
this is only my opinion though
things to consider:
- insurance rape
- getting oem parts
- finding a reliable and knowledgeable workshop to deal with it. i wouldnt leave it at just any mechanic
- drivability (they are thirsty) and using it as a daily driver (parking?)

That's what we are here for... Learn from others mistakes.. I guess with the 12a I was lucky for insurance.. My Dad had his own business and we had the business cars, trucks, and or family cars insured through our insurance broker.. So @ that time full insurance for a 17 year old was cheap..

Wise decision not giving in to temptation. Its been discussed many times before and the heartache and money that goes into a rotary is sometimes just not worth it unless you understand the cost involved, can finance it, have a daily driver and are willing to do research into parts, insurance to make it all worthwhile.

My next car will probably be an RX7 but I totally agree with craig, they are expensive as hell to run but more importantly I doubt you would get insurance at all for it and if you did it would easily be round the 5k mark, for someone of your age....sorry bro.

You will be looking at around $100-$200 for 4 plugs when needed

if i get insurance, i prob just get 3rd, too much for full compo, so yeah, i prob not gona get it, until i actually have more money, so pretty much when people say needs a engine rebuild every now n den, what is it that needs to be change?
