They are generic across all the 6A motor range, just go to repco etc and ask for waterpump to suit HJ Galant ;)

hey just checked camskill its about 32pound for waterpump. why will it cost 1000$ inc labour to repair ?? why should i get timing belt seal tensioners etc done?
do they need to come off ?

Because the waterpump is driven off your timing belt. You may as well do the timing belt if its close to due as its a pain in the arse to remove the belt.

yeah mate the cam seals, idler, tensioner are a must and possibly the hydrolic tensioner only if it needs to be replaced your mech should be able to tell when he removes it. Thats about it unless your bit cashed up then go for new plugs and leads while plenum is off and new AC and ALT belts

and the Dayco belt is fine they all have to made to specific criteria just make sure you get one for GPX or GR as the GPX has couple more teeth on the belt for whichever model you have ;)

nope that is rip off alright, try kempys.co.nz or camskill in uk will cost under 100 delivered and usualy recieve it within a week and you can find them for 60 just need to shop around oh and tell them for HJ galant at repco prob cheaper in their system as they seem to like to mark up costs for FTO or imports even though they use same parts
