Ok, So i purchased a 1995 Mitsubishi fto GPX two days ago...flew over to canberra to pick it up and drive it back to melbourne..

Now it's time to get things sorted such as road worthy certificate, rego transfer etc etc...

Now I know I need to replace the passenger headlight as it is damaged but I cant find where the hell I'd purchase this particular part from

I've called various places without luck..

Is there a place in Melbourne or a store that posts parts to melbourne for this particular vehicle? I'm having no luck finding spare parts and I'm beginning to wonder if purchasing this vehicle was the correct choice.

Any help locating a passenger headlight would be highly appreciated...

Are you replacing it because its peeling / delaminating?

Well yes it is delaminating a little but that wasn't my concern...
The top bracket has snapped clean off...didnt realize till i washed the car today and the headlight was moving all over the place when i went over it with the sponge haha.

and if ds doesn't have any spare then i think i have about 3 passenger ones lol

if its a top bracket thats snapped u can get them plastic welded, local shop here did mine for $55.

Did you have the piece which snapped off though? I don't have that piece.

Yea mine was still there fortunately. Just go to a Plastic repair shop close to you and see what they can do. Im sure they should be able to melt something to it. but im only guessing.

The idea of getting a strip of metal, bending and cutting it to size then glueing it to the lip of the snapped area with a Two-part epoxy is sounding good atm lol. Then I'll spray it black, drill the hole and screw it in.
