Gearbox issues

It appears the synchro in my gearbox is wearing out, making it harder to change into 1st and reverse. So I'm looking to get it sorted.
Should I be looking to get an entire reconditioned gearbox, or am I able to just get the synchro (and is that wise)?
I'm also thinking I should upgrade the clutch whilst I'm at it to prevent me having to get that pulled out later on down the track.
suggestions on where to get the parts from and what my labour costs might be?

do clutch and depending on cost maybe easier and cheaper to replace box
as for cost unsure of box cost but HD clutch around 400 labour to replace all should be no more than a grand (incl clutch)

Ok, so best bet is to get a 2nd hand box?
Any estimates on what a fair price for one is?
Thanks for the help so far guys.

Being in QLD, try
www.panelhouse.com.au
Dont pay more than $7-800 for the box. Clutch will cost you around $400 for an Excedy HD. Dunno where you'd get that round your area thou... try find a brake & clutch shop, see if they have an Excedy account.

Thanks Bennoz, I'll look into that.
I realise that I'll have to source parts from Brisbane.

If you do end up reco'ing your existing box, let me know.
I've got a complete 5 spd manual stripped down in my garage. Somre parts in it are fucked, but others are ok.
