Okay, Just got some small little questions..

I noticed when I bought my car that my driver door was out of line - but didnt really think anything about it.

Talked to a few people and they think that its been in a small front end hit before.

Not that I'm worried about that at all, i was just wondering how i could fix it, I've noticed - when hosing my car if i stand behind it and squirt it in the direction of the seal it lets some water in (I just read that and - stand behind it and squirt it in) but anyway, umm. I think its just because it wont shut properly, someone has suggested its just the lock, and if i unscrew it (i'll need something special, cant't remember what they said, but yeh and just move the bit back, it should work.

I'll put up some pics, and also my Petrol cap isn't lined up right, i figure i can work that one out, but ill put some pics up on how bad it is. I'm guessing ill just unscrew / bolt it abit until its loose then move it.
Havn't looked into it yet.

Anyway, suggestions on fixing the door?

Petrol Door

On the inside edge of the drivers door sill area, there is a steel hoop latch mounted to the car. Its where the door lock catches. Loosen the 2 large phillips head screws on it & move it in (towards the centre of the car) and tighten it back up. Its designed to be moved around for door alignment & you'll find it has a large range of area it can be moved.

Aight sick ben will try soon, i thought you need a special something to take it off but cant remember, thats what i was told, but i will have a look today and let ya's know.

EDIT: Done the door, sick as man, did the trick perfect, thanks heaps.

i guess i have the exact same problem, guess i will try that later too, but do anyone have a way to fix the petrol lid? mines not in place too.

Yeah the door was heaps easy to fix, the petrol lid looks like the same but havn't tried yet, will let ya know when i can be bothered

I had to adjust mine when it broke at the hinge and I needed to weld it back on

It adjusts up and down and I also put a washer under the mount to centre it better.

hmm okay, I will give it a shot. soon. when I can be bothered.

the "special tool" you need is an Impact Driver... a screwdriver that you hit "hammer and chisel style" to put a lot of torque into the turn...

without this tool - the adjustments made on my car just kept slipping back out of place over a week - mine was about as bad as yours

now i'm not a hundred percent sure on this.. but the special tool you need to fix the petrol flap... is Balls.. yes that's right.. brute force to get it back into shape.

Impact driver! thats the one i was tihnking of

Well i did tit with a normal screw driver and it hasnt moved back yet, but if it does then ill use a impact driver.

Not sure about brute force on the petrol cap though, but yeah
