Hows the eletronic water pump going, smorison?

Don't have the cash to do it at the moment.... problem is the pump itself is probably 300.00 but fitting it will be an easy grand or maybe more.
looking at other stuff at the moment such as adjustable exahust CAMS, these will be done before the Track day in sydney (i hope) Unqiue will most likely have the car for the entire week leading upto the track day.
Apart from doing a Major service they are going to finalise the brake upgrade kit and try and build / fit adjustable exahust CAMS.

How come only Exhaust Cams? Are there any gains to speak of yet by chaging the IO and IC times?

what impact on the drivability of the car is expected from these cam changes, and in what rev-range?

Found this site, where they install the electric water pump, on a ford.
It doesn't seem to be all that hard to install.
And with the automatic thermal controller is would be very efficient.
The pump kit costs $311 and the controller cost $302.

the pump and control modules i can get cheaper than that... the problem is that if you have a leaking (existing) water pump you'll need to replace that (about 400-500) ... if you're not doing the work yourself (which is very involved you're up for about 6 hours worth of mechanics time...
you'll also be looking at about 6-10 hours worth of mechanics time to install an electric water pump...
i will be revisiting this in the future and hopefully we'll be able to build a kit for this... the gains are expected to be pretty small and really only suitable for those who are after every last kW of power
