New FTO - What action is recommended?

(Other than taking her for a spin), what are a few good things I should do to ensure the longetivity and lastability of my new FTO?
It's another 1995 GPX, and it's in excellent condition as it is, and I intend to keep it that way. My last one became really run down, everything happened at once and I pawned it off to some idiot for cheap because I couldn't keep up with all the repair bills.
I looked after the car like my first born child, but in the six months I had it, the heater broke, the air-con broke, the sunroof wouldn't close, all the clear-coat started peeling, I got countless chips in my front bumper and side mirror paintwork, the selector cable snapped whilst drive (for the manual transmission) it would idle erratically, the timing belt needed replacing, as did the spark plugs and ignition leads, the O2 sensor and water pump could have done with a refurbishment, the front-left indicator lights holding were broken and would fall out whilst driving, the engine warning light would flash half the time, the list truly does just go on ...... did I mention it had no problems when I bought it, and I was having it serviced VERY reguarly?
I think I just had a bad egg.
My FTO that I am getting next week has fairly high KM's at 160,000, but has been professionally maintained by its mechanic owner, and driven very softly by his middle aged wife .. completely repainted and glossed, has no cosmetic damage, everything works, brand new tyres ... I haven't had it professionally inspected but I've seen (in person) its engine stripped down to get a water pump and timing belt replacement and it does look very tidy. It's a very reasonable price too.
Any thoughts? Any services I should get when the vehicle first gets transferred over to my name?
