airbag

i have got 97 gpx, twin srs airbags, council are doing work in our street at the moment and to get out of my driveway i have to drive over a 180mm thick rubber pipe which is being used to move water, problem being this morning i drove over it and i believe it has put pressure on the front bar and caused the airbag sensor to come on the dashboard. does this mean the airbag should deploy or only the sensors have been activated and how do i turn it off, and do i have to take it to mitsubishi and get it reset or somthing ??

I reckon you've pulled the wire outta the front sensor..

yeah, got on to mitsubishi this mornin and a guy reckoned the same thing, is it ok to put the wire back in ?? dont need to reset anything ??

Might wanna disconnect your battery before doing it... and dont sit in the carwhile doing it either
