did your bulb blow?

if no1 knows the easiest thing to do would probs be to remove it and then find a bulb that matches up with it

Yeah, best of luck finding one of these: Image They're about 2mm across.

OK... have got a T5 Wedge LED to fit... just! You can either put the LED into the holder, or just chop the led legs just below the resistors, and solder the bugger straight onto the contacts.

Doing this, the LED still sticks out too much for it all to slide back into the housing from the top (arrow A), so a quick trim with a sharp knife of the lip on either side of the housing, and it'll slide in a lot easier from the horizontal (arrow B):

It is fiddly, and the switch does have a tendency to fall apart into component pieces easily. There are also 2 little springs and a ball bearing that are just waiting patiently for your attention to waiver so they can shoot off into the furthest corner of the room and play hide and seek. Be careful, organised and do on a clean table and you should be ok. Managed it without too much swearing, but really don't want to have to open up my switch again!

Maybe change the title of thread to 'Foglight switch bulb' or something to help out people looking for info on this in the future?
