Wondering if anyone could let me know approx what it should cost me to get my clutch replaced? had someone else driving my car a couple of days ago and they said my clutch appeared to be 'slipping' and that i should look into having it replaced! i drive a 95 GPX. Also wondering if i'm best to go with a new standard clutch or if there is another one that is also recomended? thanks

Are they a reliable source? Had someone tell me that before, but they just weren't used to the FTO biting point.

Someone reliable but not a mechanic. But the car does feel different, seems to get to a certain point and then the revs continue to increase but the car doesn't continue to accelerate! usually at about the 100kmph mark (when it would usually continue to accelerate quite easily). Would get checked out properly before i had it replaced but would like some idea on how much i'd be up for before i begin the process! (thanks for the word of warning though!! its appreciated)

try doing 50kph put it in 4th and floor it, if revs climb but car doenst speed up bingo its clutch

original is around 300 for part or 400ish for Heavy duty one

labour will be around the same as have remove box etc also get flywheel machined
but if your mech minded very easy to replace yourself if you dont mind doing under car getting in messed up angles and have a few tools
