Aircon problem

Does anyone have knowledge on the airconditioning? The mechanic claimed that my condenser is busted thus aircon does not work during hot weather. So i got it replaced by a new condenser today.
Only to find out that he claimed now the aircon pump is weak. I used to get cold air once in a while with the old condenser.
Now it does not even get cold at all.
can anyone help?

yes mate.
new condenser, full of gas, no blockage. He said the pump is just not putting enough pressure.

pumps do give out quite regularly these days (cmon, its getting old!) id say he mis-diagnosed the condensor...
pumps will run you about $450... fit them yourself... or get ben to do it... hes got heaps of free time and no life... plus he loves doin that stuff

Yeah its pretty quiet out here in the sticks these days. Only things to do are root & work on cars.
If you get one I can swap it out for you. Need to get it regassed elsewhere though. Normal failure on the compressors is the clutch mechanism in it. Always wondered if just the clutch can be replaced...

Hey, thanks to dstocks, i got the 2nd hand ac pump. wonder if it can be opened up to do a cleaning before getting bennoz to help me install it?
cant find any DIY for refurbishing or replacing AC pump...

Finally aircon is up and running!
After a new condenser, ac pump and tx valve, evaporator cleaned.....and nearly 1k of damage, its runing cool now...
Oh for those guys who still have the "ticking" sound problem when switching between internal and exterior air. Its a little blackunder the dashboard of driver side.
Took it out and open it up and realised a tooth is broken from one of the plastic gears. I simply rotate the missing tooth to a side where it is not connected to other gears.
So happy, having to put up with ticking noise for over a year and now its quiet.

Hey, where did u take it to fix it? since i need to repair mine, better take it to someone who has fixed one
an how long did it took him to fix? like did u have to leave the car there for few days or wait few hrs?

leave it there in the morning and take it back at the end of the day....cos they need to order in parts which takes weeks.
yours might be able to be fixed in one day...so better call up and ask.

TX valves can be sourced locally. Get the guy who's doing your regassing to get one.

Mine was sourced from Japan. The electrician could not find any from local mitsu shop.
