hey, so while im on the lookout for an FTO GPX model in the comming months, is there any advice u experienced guys can share to a newb like myself about common things to look out for when buying an FTO?

Iv had a look around a few threads on the topic of buying a used car and things you should keep an eye out for, but i was mainly just interested in anything that is FTO specific?

A few things I've heard about are the tappets getting a bit noisy with age and also the door locking motors getting weak, and the passenger window becoming rattly (i think..?)

any advice is appreciated. cheers

There is a sticky dedicated to just what you are asking. Cant remember which section its in though. Rust in the roof is another one to look out for (bubbles).

Alternator especially in the early models.
