Im going to install a new water temp gauge and i have yet to buy the adaptor. Does anyone know the diameter of the coolant hose?

for those who installed these. where about do you stick the cables through the firewall?

just wires through the firewall.... you can use the same sensor close to where you pour the coolant in the engine.... it has a single wire on it......

it seems very hard to get wires through the fire wall as it is already stuffed with a big bunch of heavily bundled wires.

there should be other holes you can use, the bonnet release cable, throttle cable and other things go through the firewall.

if you look above where the steering rod goes through the firewall there is a hole, make sure you put tape or a rubber grommet on the hole to stop chaffing...

8O Why would you need to be connecting water lines for a temp gauge? Its runs off a singular wire from a sender unit plugged in near the thermotstat housing.

I wouldn't be running any wires either, I'd splicing off the original sender wire in the loom. Then you can have both gauges working.
