That's rough man... I thought it was bad that the banned pics on the site at my work....
But I mostly browse on my phone now anyway.. You could try and befriend you IT guy.. Take him out, get him laid, and he should be your friend for life...

I work at Channel 7 and the only thing blocked is Facebook and Myspace and its sooo good

my old job at burswood cracked down hard on internet browsing and I just used a proxy bypass, no problems. The new job allows full internet access and loving it

Jono, what AV does your work use? If it's Norton or Symantec, it's the firewall blocking it.
Mine's doing it here and blocks access to the site stating that it's found some issue. Thankfully I am the IT guy

i even started this computer in safe mode to avoid the login...
