Odo reset?

I've been looking for another FTO for my better half to drive, had a look at a GPX in a dealership, fresh import 80xxx km's on the odo...but after further inspection there is a sticker of the cam-belt cover with some Japansese & 173xxx km's on it.
Do you think it's had it's odo reset or just that the belt was changed at 73xxx km's and is due for another change at 173xxxkm ?

Otherwise the car is in reasonably good condition...just needs to be detailed ;D

na just belt was changed and 173xxx is when next replacement is due ;) just like a oil change sticker

if you are concerned check things like pedals and sterring wheel for signs of excessive wear etc

yeah, most probably just a reminder sticker. As vipfto suggested look for wear and tear.

yeh i would dare say that it's when the next change should occur...the cluster change seems more viable than the odo being reset, i presume that it would be a bit more difficult to rewind a digital odo as well

Yeah, but the cluster takes 5 minutes to get out, so a swap is really easy. It is not all that hard to source clusters with lower kms. Due to the number ive wrecked, I have 3 or 4 tip clusters sitting in the shed. Im not saying that this one has been swapped, just that it is not hard to do. As previously suggested, look at the wear on the outside of the drivers seat and the steering wheel.
