ok, changed the starter motor today and while i was putting the wires back on the power? wire arced onto the starter, ( i know, stupid me for not disconnecting the battery) now the engine won't start. starter cranks fine and i smell fuel, so thinkin it might be spark. maybe i have blown a fuse somewhere, but i checked them all. any ideas??

thanks.

Stepper!

Seriously thou, it'd have to be one of the big main fuses, the 100 or 80amp one.

nope.
checked the error codes today (thurs, 9th) and just get engine light flashing continuesly.
what are the other square things in the engine-bay fuse box?? are they relays? nothing on the translated diagram for the fusebox.

just check for power with multimetre like a nomal fuse, or are the ones your looking at relays? they have 4 or 5 prongs on them

im not sure what they are, there is no amp rating on them so i think they are relays.

6 brown and 1 black on the left side of fusebox. there is japanese writing on the fusebox cover, but no translation on the forum post about fuses.

Pull each fuse our and check for continuity. The smaller ones you can just leave them in as they have those exposed metal bits you can put a multimeter to.

I have a similar issue years back. Check all your fuses under your drivers side dash. Hopefully one of them will be burnt.

talked to the auto electrician today, he said that the power wire for the starter isn't fused anywhere, so it's not the problem, must be something else. i tried starting it today and it started first go, must be japanese gremlins again !!!!!

Did you check the fuses under your dash? Never said the starter was fused.

i checked all the fuses as soon as it happened, i thought that it would have blown something. the problem goes back to my on-going stepper motor problems.
