I have a 1995 Gpx Mivec, Tiptronic. Whilst driving today all of a sudden when weird.... The N started flashing, she would only drive in 3rd. Now tomorrow I will be checking inlet sensor. Outlet sensor is perfectly fine, I checked that this afternoon. A/T fluid is lovely and pink, not grainy at all and not dirty. Can any body shed some light on this at all for me?

Also, if I continue to drive the car for another week or two until it is able to be fixed, am I going to cause more damage etc????

Any help would be great , thanks.

Well, I have checked the sensors, they are perfectly fine... Then I decided to take a look at the Tiptronic ECU...... The last thing I expected to find.... Coolant has decided to come inside the car and cover under floor mats and the ECU..... It looks as though it is the heater core.

A replacement of both coming up.. Going to cost for those parts I think. So.... Car is of the road for at least a week or two...

Any idea where good cheap parts are available???

nasty sorry for you mate but seeing as its australia and no need for heaters here why not just connect the heater hoses to by-pass the heater matrix avoiding time consuming and expensive complete dash removal to replace......oh a long shot if your ECU isnt fried there is a fuse that will cause it to go to limp mode too (think it may also contol indicators, its the cabin fuses anyway)

Bullshit

It gets cold here too, just wait till you climatise

Really the ecu and heater core shouldnt cost F all. The ecu is not really a common failure so they should be common as. Also should be loads of heater cores too
