thats pretty typical...... I think another pharma company increased a lot more then that yesterday.....on the flip side when any natural disasters happens, the following day insurance companies get hit....

Why invest in a market you don't understand? Of course pharmaceutical companies are going to make money when something like this happens.

You made a very wise purchase by the way. Hope you capitalised by buying a mortgage worth!

Nah trust me I understand the market. It's why I bought them for $29... I knew one way or another I was gonna make money out of the company but I just feel guilty knowing I made money because people have been diagnosed with a dangerous flu strain and possibly die. It's worse in america though so I guess the aussies aren't too bad.... :? still fkd....

Heh, good purchase, but you mustn't bother yourself with guilt. The money you invest in a pharmaceutical company is used for further research and development (yeah right, we all know it lines the pockets haha, was just trying to make you feel better)

John you have nothing to feel guilty about it, as ftevo says your money helps research new cures. Without your money a lot more people could be dying.

Pharmaceutical companies don't find cures. Scientist find cures & sell them onto pharmaceutical companies so they can either hold onto them till the point of armageddon or sell it on straight away for a 12 million percent profit. They're c$%ts... but hey, if you profit from them :thumleft:

Should take the profit now, if you wait longer the hype will die down. Either you'll end up even or lose some money.

You bought the share at $29 each?

unless he has invested a substantial amount why would you sell for 4% profit?? by the time you pay tax on the profit and brokerage for purchasing and selling you would not have made any cash..... unless there was big cash involved in buying....

Very true. That's why I wanted to clarify how much stocks he bought.

He said he bought it for $29, if that's per share, then I assumed he bought a substantial amount otherwise it won't be worth it.

I'll take the drugs thanks, hahahaha.

Bought the shares for around $29 a share and bought an decent amount. I wanted a defensive stock in my portfolio so I opted for this particular company. Up around 14% on them since my purchase. Dirty pharmaceutical company's....
