FTO vs. Kangaroo

Hey guys, last night my girlfriend and i were driving through kangaroo island, and a kangaroo tried to commit suicide using my car. Fortunately i hit it at around 50kmh, so the damage wasnt as bad as it could have been, but i am gunna need to get some new parts.
Im yet to call my insurance, so they might be paying for repairs, but i don't know.
Pretty much what is dented, broken, bent, cracked, buckled, is below:
Bonnet (now in the shape of a hill)
-Both headlights (cracked plastic, now comes with kangaroo hair for the native look)
-Bumper (cracked and not sitting properly)
-Radiator inc fans (its rubbing against something, but im yet to find out...)
-Lock for the bonnet + the metal bar it and the radiator is bolted to.
-Possibly the AC (but it might just be a loose hose)
If any one has these parts in SA, or VIC, maybe near the swan hill area, let me know how much your willing to part with them for, as i've got to shop around as i just bought a house a week before this...
Cheers guys

Mate that sucks. I feel for ya. My advice, don't bother with sourcing parts. Pay your insurance excess (like $500 im guessing?) and let them deal with it all for you. Trust me, the cost of that will be huge if you do it yourself (unless you're a panelbeater of course). Just to get my car returned to proper condition after the light and guard were smashed has been quoted at $2500...

I'll have to wait for the long weekend to be over, and then I'm calling my insurance. Problem is, I don't know if its covered. I've only got third party fire and theft. I guess I could say the kangaroo stole my ability to have a drivable car...?

Thanks Ben, I'll keep you updated if the insurance doesn't cover this sort of thing.
That goes for anyone else who can help me with parts, if it turns out I need to get them all myself, I'll let you all know.

Dan, this would usually be sound advice.
However with FTOs, sourcing goods and services yourself is often cheaper and you'll get a MUCH better result than letting your insurer do it; they just don't care much for imports...

By no means do I wish to start an argument mate, but it's not the insurer that sources the parts. The panelbeater that either you or your insurer chooses (in my case I chose the panelbeater) sources them for you. I also had the opportunity to agree to the parts before they are to be placed on my car, so I'm more than happy for them to pay ridiculous amounts of money for parts and fix the car for me, rather than search around and find cheap parts myself.
I've only got third party fire and theft.
Unless there is a specific clause in your policy that says otherwise, I'd say that you won't be covered mate

Therefore none of what I said above really helps you.

If you have insurance then claim it on that and be happy you didnt have to go through the heart ache of fixing it yourself...the fto can be very very difficult and push you over the edge. If you do think you will be better off sourcing the parts then buy a half cut, get what you need, then sell the rest of it, as there is always someone on here after something.
