I got a bit bored at work this week so i decided to do a bit more to my interior. This is what i have come up with so far. Made from alluminium and replaces the old crappy plastic ones. Sorry but the pictures are not the best becuase shiny things are hard to photograph. I might try do the alluminium ring to replace the rubber gear surround next!

That looks awesome!

Now, be prepared for the following:

1. How much?
2. Group Buy!!
3. Where did you get that carbon centre console?
4. How much was the carbon centre console?
5. Where did you get the tip lever?
6. How much was the tip lever?
7. Where did you get the seat covers?
8. How much were the seat covers?
9. For all of the above, "Can you get me one man? I'll pay!"

Sorry just a heads up

1. price depends on how many people want them,i havent priced them up per set but i would reckon $50-$100 per set. could do choice of colour for the lettering, maybe 2 or 3 to choose from,it will become expensive if too many different colours.
2.group buy,definately.
3.off ebay, had to put the lighter in though.(got a new mod for that coming soon.)
4.cant remember
5.from these people off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MOMO-Shi ... ccessories
6.above
7.max,where else.
8.cant remember but i think max gave me a discount.

hope that helps.

no they don't light up,didnt see the need for it,i generally dont need to look at them at night, the dash indicateswhat gear i am in.Also, there is only one light under there and to light all of them means more expense which i dont really want right now.

I've done a few calculations and if anyone is interested in doing a group buy,ill do them for $80 a set. I will limit the colours of the letters though to yellow, black, red or blue or whatever is the most popular 3-4 colours.

Why so expensive? They could be cast from Alum. for next to nothing.. & with raised lettering instead of etched..

Could look good as stickers as well.. same type of raised "bubble" stickers are the rear indent filler "FTO" badge decals are made out of.

I'll do some checking around for the stickers, and look into making some little clay moulds so I can cast some..

Go right ahead if you want to.

There is a bit more that goes into it than just material, theres tooling, programming machining, painting, remachining to remove excess paint and then a bit of postage. This all takes time and money.

If you get them cast, you will need a mold and then you have the porosity ssue and the surface would not necessary be smooth or consistant.
Stickers, why would you degrade your fto with stickers?
