just called the mechanic, he said he asked one of the wreckers that had the GR manual box to just send it to him since he thought it would be compatible too, but the guy says "nar dont waste our time, its like mixing chalk and cheese", and right now i dont want to risk getting a box and dont fit, so i probably just let him take it to globaltransmission to see if he can fix the gear box, and the new update about the problem is inside the input shaft, theres a hole that was welded before, and close to it theres another 50mm hole. really sorry about essaying this.

Update, apparently the GR gearbox is abit different to the GPX gearbox cause its non-mivec from what they say, and right now i need to change my clutch too, need to replace my exedy clutch H/D to a new one, any recommendation to get the clutch? i asked at turbo spares at cabra for $388 exedy H/D.

You dont need to change the clutch. They are trying to take you for a ride. The only thing you'll need is the GR driveshafts.

Maybe they are, but i know the clutch has been there for at least 2yrs, it would be pretty much worn out so i need a new one and i thought it would be better of do it now then later. Atm they send my gearbox to re-con but havent got the quote back yet.

Cost 1.2k to fix my gearbox, the spiders inside are fcuked and gears ar crunched cause its been driving without oil, should i fix it or wait for another gearbox? 1.2k is just to repair it, should i just re-con the gearbox? cause he said even after the repair, the gears might have a chance to make noise due to driving too long without oil.

Ok, judging by what you've written in your other thread and this one, your mechanic wants to convince you that you need a new gearbox. Before it was simply the gearbox leaking, now all of a sudden he realises everything is fuked up inside? Surely if the gears were crunching as badly as he says, you would've felt it and it would've been the first thing he would've noticed. They're just trying to milk you.
Also, don't put all your faith in what your mechanic says, you've been pretty much ignoring what people tell you and decide to go along with what your mechanic says anyway

You can buy a whole FTO half cut with engine and gearbox for $1200...

changin to GR driveshaft and gearbox to a mivec, would that affect the rev/performace? since GR are non-mivec? and its just really hard to find halfcut/gearbox mivec.
I do reliase theres some problem with the gearbox, normally when i start the car, i cant change gears, until about 10mins later then i can start changing gears.
sorry for not listenin to you guys, cause i dont really know much about cars, i told him about the GR gearbox/shaft but when he asked people at the wreckers, they said a mivec would need a mivec gearbox.

Heres what we are suggesting.
1. get the gr gearbox...you will also need the gr driveshafts.
2. Re con your current gearbox by "dodgy" mechanics
3. change to an auto (because 99% of wreckers have one)..also need the auto driveshafts
