CV Joints

Having some loud clunking noises when parking. I've searched the forum and found that it could be the CV joints breaking down.

Now i've gone to Unique Auto Sports for a minor service and asked them to check my CV joints. Not sure if they've checked it but they say it needs reconditioning and will cost $600+. Is it worth it? or is there another option. Thanks guys

If you can source new or even second hand CV's I can swap 'em out for you.

To be honest, im not too sure. I'll let a mechanic have a look at both sides first and i'll give you a PM about which parts i need. Thanks dstocks

$600? 8O

Sounds like you were about to get torn a new one. I agree with the rest, replace them entirely with good quality 2nd handers.

I know I got one hell of a score, but I got my entire axle/CV assembly with mint boots for $50 NZD. All I am saying is, shop around and try to find 2nd hand.

wow

light fast ticking from the right side when turning right even at a light turn of the steering wheel (1cm turn) . The thing is it sounds to light of a tick to be CV's that is what is getting me
