an upgraded fuel pump won't provide any HP gains, rather it will simply ensure the engine is getting enough petrol to maintain the HP produced by any other mods you have done. i.e. making sure the fuel mixture doesn't lean out due to not getting enough petrol pumped to it.
However, this is only an issue if your engine requires a greater volume of fuel than what your existing fuel pump is able to supply.
I could be wrong, and perhaps I'm overlooking something, but I can see no advantage in upgrading the pump unless you have done some serious engine modifications, such as a turbo, where the amount of fuel required by the engine increases substantially. You probably would have also needed to upgrade your injectors and possibly remapped the fuel system too.
A stock FTO or one with basic breathing mods (air intake & exhaust) probably won't benefit from this.
Let me know if I've missed something (nicely)

What cc are the original Injectors?
If your running injectors at 95% duty cycle, is this causing any drawbacks tot he system? Is there a threshold to aim for?

the stock injectors are running at about 50% duty cycle and are 166cc.

It is recommended you only go to 80% duty cycle with your injectors or you risk damaging your injectors.

Danny I`m very much interested.
As you know I`ll hopefully be starting my 6A13 and GT28 soon.
How much for the pump and set of injectors shipped to Brisbane?

with a GT 28 I think you would only need a fuel pump, the 6A13 injectors should be fine, but if you want the bigger injectors i can get a price, the fuel rails are still being made for them, fuel pump is $200
The 6A13 TT has 390cc injectors and i was pulling 400 Hp with them and only using one extra injector, we didnt need to use the second one

Thanks Danny,
I wont be installing it straight away, as stated earlier not much gains with the pump alone. I`ll install it when I do the transplant and turbo.
After taking it to multiple workshops and talking to a heap of mechanics I think I have settled with Subzero on the Gold Coast. They specialize in GTR`s and produced a a sub 11 sec supra. They seem to know their way arround an engine. They also didn`t say " Whats an FTO?".

no problem mate.
any questions about doing the transplant just give me a call.
Also one little bit of advice, you need to remove the sump to get the engine in, it sticks out past the harmonic balancer and will hit the chassis rail. then you just put it back on after you have lowered it in to place.

Thanks Danny,
The pump arrived today. After reading the instructions it dosen`t seem that tough a job. I`ll give it a go next time I have some spare time.
Any tips on replacing it?
With the FTO, how do you get to the tank opening? Is it via the boot or back seat?
Thanks Jeff

glad to hear it arrived ok.
it is under the back seat it is easy, but when it comes to a fuel system i would always suggest you get a qualified mechanic to do it.
you find the fuel pump is under the rear seat there is a black plate with 4 screws then under that you will see the fuel tank. there is some hoses coming of a plate that you remove, you need to remove the fuel lines first and one of them you have to get under the car and find where the flexible hose conects to the metal fuel line , it will require spanners to loosen this one before you will be able to remove it from the cover plate.
unless you got a bit of experiance with fuel systems best to get a qualified mechanic to do it. should only take him 30 minutes tops. So he would probably charge you for an hours labour.
