On behalf of the club, Id like to extend my sympathy to those that are doing it hard tonight in Victoria. Fire is a horrifying experience that nobody should have to endure and tonight there are a lot of people grieving for lost ones or homeless. Id like to say my thoughts and those of the club are with you.

84 dead so far.. That's terrible. Yea, sh*t like that makes me feel like driving down there and helping out, so many innocent people losing lives over bushfires.
"Police suspect some fires were deliberately lit yesterday despite warnings that it was the worst day in Victoria's history for fire conditions."

On behalf of all Victorians, thanks for your thoughts.
On a personal note, haveing been through the Anakie fires of 06 thats one place you don't want to be. and i hope the locals find the bastards who get of lighting these fires before the cops do.

My fiances parents are practically surrounded by the fires.
There is a chance that it will not sweep through there property, but there bags are packed.
Very scary and sad time.

+1 on all sentiment above. I've also put a message up on the main home page of the site too.

Friends of ours have just lost everything. Entire house, contents, car, etc. Not sure what they're going to do now.

I can't imagine what those poor people are going through right now. Each time i watch the news, its pretty hard-hitting stuff that's on. My prayers are with those poor innocent people, and i hope that things will ease up for them. To those who deliberately lit fires... those fires will bite their asses back once theyre in hell..

man, i can't believe what's happened here in vic... it's horrific
and there's still a lot of fires out of control.
we had our hottest day ever on record combined with an insane wind & drought.
there were reports that one fire traveled 1.5km in five minutes.
as ben mentioned on the front page,
if you are wanting to make a donation to the Red Cross Appeal for the fires, please call
1800 811 700
thanks guys

Be carefull though.... I heard 1/3 of the people who died weren trying to escape in their cars but the roads had either been blocked or the fire closed in too fast

Yeah, there's still a very large parameter around the property, and there keeping an eye on all roads within the area.
