Most places wont let you... Or if they do, they wont take any responsibility if the paint peels or if there are any problems ... Cost would only be about 3-4k I would say ...

prices are going to vary majorly. I would say 2.5K for what your wanting. but my only advice is go on reputation NOT price, otherwise you could regret it

Agree'd ... Rep is everything ...

And in Sydney, prepare to pay an over inflated price ... That is why I got mine done down at Wollongong ...

Im actually thinking of DIY spray painting. will definitely cut down the cost. Read websites and watch videos for tips and now i need some practice.

Gonna spray it lime green or maybe bright red. Just a qns, currently my car is maroon color so if i wanna spray some other colors. Then all i need to do is spray a coat of primer right? or do i need to remove the paint?

Sorry for stealing thread.

Nah, its not that hard...

Just time consuming .. But you will need to cut back the colour already on the car.. If you find that the paper is not gliding enough (you will need to use wet & dry), put some starlight soap in the bucket that you use for the water, and it will be a little easier...

Personally, i would cut back the colour, then spary a few coats of Tetrosil spray putty ... It is kind of an orange colour ... Then cut that back ... Then spray your primer ... Cut back .... Then colour of your choice...

Try to do it all by hand, as you can tend to put lines in the body work if you keep a sander in the 1 spot for too long ... But make sure you either use a block, or ensure you keep your hand flat, and not use your fingers...
