FTO AUSTRALIA

I went to reverse out of my driveway and put my car into drive and it wuldnt move!! it was in drive and the handbrake was down, i turned it off and then turned it back on again and put it into drive ,it started moving but the speedometer wasnt going up until i went down the street!! ...i just got it serviced and all,what do u think the problem could be??

But it is starting and going good now ... But the speedo only starts working after a while ... Or do you have to try a couple of times before you start each time ...

I replied to your PM but I'll post here anyway - Something similar happened to me a couple of months ago, but I dunno if that's strictly manual related - My slave cylinder seal had broken and the fluid was leaking out of it, so my clutch went limp and I putting it into gear did nothing.

Not sure if this is a similar problem since yours is auto

Well a few dayz ago i was drivin down the M5 and i noticed tha the speedometer was jumpin ,i didnt think n e thing of it coz it stopped after a while,and then yeah when i drove it down the street today it hardly would move,but the first time i started it ,it wouldnt move at all,the car or the speedometer!

When my battery died and i had jimmied my jump pack to the battery and My alternator had stopped working i was cruising along the motor at about 70km (dont ask, every now and again the speedo would stop working (drop right back to 0) then after a few minutes it would come back on line.....weird

Anyway, i would start with checking your error codes

what the hell is a error code lol

i think its my transmission,lucky i got 12months warranty on my car and it covers transmission!
