seized engine MAYBE

Hey guys im not sure what is wrong with this engine but here is a list:
1) the engine was running low on oil
2) Then it stoped running. There is still a spark and fuel is running to the injectors. The starter motors makes the engine turn from the bottom end , BUT THE TIMING BELT ISNT TURNING. I assume that means the engine is seized (maybe a cam problem etc).
3) I also noticed that there is a lot of gunk/rust/crap where you fill the cooling system with water.
Could you guys tell me if this can be fixed any way other than changing engines, Iv been told that you can flush the engine and cooling system which might help, could some tell me if this would help and exactly how to do that, better yet can anyone tell me what can be done to fix this new problem.

completely possible hopefully its has just seized and thats it, the water pump runs off the timing belt
the big issue is has it done any damage? maybe bent valves, this could also stop motor sorry mate but seized engine usually means big $ or replacment

Can you actually confirm that the starter is turning the motor? If you look at the harmonic balance pulley when turning it over, it will tell you. If its not turning, your starter may be f*cked. If turning, but the cam aren't then it sounds like a snapped timing belt. The water pump wont stop it turning as it has no teeth on it, its run by pure belt tension over a smooth pulley.
You can pull the front top section of the timing belt cover off with out too much hassle, so see if the belt is snapped.

Guys i can confirm that the starter is fine, but the timing belt is not turning. I have been told that if the engine runs with no oil the cams will seize becus of the heat

All manner of things can seize when there's no oil. You pulled the timing belt front cover off to have a look? Its only 3 10mm bolts.

Ooooh, interesting. Perhaps you've stripped some teeth off the bottom of the belt. Are you able to get a socket onto the end of one of the cam gears & turn it clockwise?
