I read threads abt it...but i just cant take out the rear break light surrounding
"Take off the cover surrounding the rear brake light above the rear parcel shelf - There is a little clip holding it in place - Press the centre of the clip to release the cover and simply take it off."

In the middle its just a cross head screw holdin it? i try unscrewin it, doesnt work, try press in the middle it doesnt do anything, cant turn it or anything.

please help to remove it T.T

sOrry for posting it again but i really need the help atm.

Push the middle of the clip up with a screwdriver and pull the ring around it down (you might need to use your fingernails to get under it), ans it should fall out.

The 2 parts are connected, 1 slides inside the other, and both go through a hole in the light cover.

i think who ever had the car before you did a temp repair job on that light, thats why the screw is there, it's supposed to be a round plasic clip (kinda like a self expanding pin... i'm bad at explaining thing lol)

Pull down on the cover while unscrewing (gently lever a screw driver under the cover ). It is cross threaded (and not original). Hopefully by applying a little pressure to it it will grab and unscrew. The only other bet is to drill the screw out and replace it with the proper part.

I am going to take a guess, and assume that if they have used a normal screw in their to replace the stock clip-self expanding screw, that they have probably used an adhesive to secure it also ... Like a glue or sicaflex....

leave it lol

or rip it off and be prepared for the possibility of breaking it. :(
sorry that's probably not very helpful, but that's all i can think of.

mayb im just not doin it rite? so normally u push the middle screw and get the plastic surround of the screw out?

Yep, usually it is a clip screw ... So what happens is you push the centre, which causes the clip to loosen, so that the centre of the screw drops out ... The two prongs (which are on the inside of the clip retract) and the thing should then pop out...

If you screw does not do this, then it has been modified... Since you live in Hurstville (and I am in Sylvania) if you want to drop by I can have a look at it for you ... Just shoot off a PM ...

it's not a screw us such, i guess i'd call it a pin...
similar to these:

if that makes it any easier.

so if whatever that's holding your light up has a head that'll take a screw driver, then it's already wrong lol

But the original clip DOES NOT have a phillips head and is black/dark grey. It has a circular head with a smaller circle inside. Unless yours looks like this, it is not the right one. I have seen people use normal screws here before, but often they dont get the right size, so it does not unscrew once it is in there. If you use a medium flat head screw driver at the front and push it say 2 cm under the cover and apply a little downwards pressure while unscrewing, the screw should come out. If you have to force it to get it under, use a smaller screwdriver.

The cover normally comes off by pulling down slightly at the front (closest to the front of the car) and then sliding towards the front of the car to release it at the back. If you are going to pull down on it, do it at the front and dont pull down too far or you will break the plastic bits at the back.
