Clutch Slave Cylinder & boots Advice

Okay all, after the previous topic on mechanics ripping people off I want some advice on things that I've been told I need to do.
First is the Clutch Slave Cylinder. I've searched and noticed most others replace theirs when it fails. I've been told mine is leaking but have not noticed the clutch fluid level going down at all.

I've got a new one from Kempy's in case.

Should I replace it or wait until it fails?

I was also told that my left steering rack boot and 2 inner CV boots were just starting to flick out grease, being just split. Would you replace these now or wait?

I'm not really considering this as urgent as I have not seen any grease when I get under the car, though I will admit I don't ge that far under to to check things close up.

replace boots asap or will be bigger cost and prob

get 2nd opinion on clutch mate, it might be just excess fluid not wiped away

Okay, might be something I check though. The shop I'll get to replace them is a steering/suspension specialist joint so I'll give them another call in the new year cause they told me there wasn't a problem less than a month ago.

The fluid is a little overfull, I'll add this to the list for my mate to check for me.

Cheers vipfto, you have confirmed pretty much everything I was thinking, on the clutch cylinder front, at least I have a new one now if this one does fail completely.

Very easy to see if the inner boots are flicking grease, jack up yeah car and look at the exhaust piping below the drive shaft. Furthermore, if its leaking, when u flog yeah car it will have a really nasty smell. It should cost no more than $80 bucks per cv if i can remember.

yeah none of those symptoms are present. Though I will check them when I finally go to put my Cold air feed in for my pod

Thanks for your help all ;)
