So i just noticed this the other day on my roof just above the rear window.

It looks like 2 bubbles but it doesnt feel soft or anything. It jsut feels normal. My dad thinks it could be from water leaking on the car from the garage but im not too sure about that. Can anyone help with what this is and what i can do to fix it up ?

The rust normally forms in a line about 6cm behind the front screen (parallel to) or about the same distance in front of the rear screen (again parallel to)

yep im in rust town aswell  ive got quite a few front and back of my sunroof... Watch out - watever you do- don't try to pick it off... Or it'll break and the rust will come through. It happened to my mates wrx and he fixed it by putting rust mould over it... 20bux for a tube or can at autobarn which cases over the rust and dries black. It can be sanded and painted aswell..... Thats all that i know.

Heres the guide.....

Do this as quick as possible. The longer you wait, the worse it gets. The most important part is removing the glue. That is what is causing the problem. And it doesnt matter how many tubes of stuff you use, unless you remove the source, itll be back. I ended up getting all the rust spots on my previous FTO professionally welded up after I remomoved the glue.

You are now in a position to be able to remove the rust. Bend the piece of metal to about 70 degrees and slide it under the subframe moving it back and forth to remove the glue. To do this right, you would have to drill out the 5 or so spot welds on either side of the sunroof hole and the ones along the front. I had this professionally done

Im not to sure about this step. I dont really want to be drilling into the car :?
