shoot me a PM if you need some help, but wiring should be pretty straight fwd, you just piggy back it off one of your existing light circuits if you are lazy, otherwise run a new circuit. i just had mine running off my fog lights, so they came on when the fog lights are turned on.
and yes you are supposed to connect them to the black boxes, they are the transformers, connect the lights to the black boxes, then connect the wiring from the black boxes to whatever circuit you want to use.
