well i got my car serviced two weeks back n for once no problems at all, everything was perfect, ran better than ever.
got my system put in a week a go and the whole cars going insane. ill be driving say at 80 then then gears will drop from four to three then back to four, engine warning light comes on a lot of the time, if the cars idle for a few mins the car makes crazy noises, pulled onto the m5 the other day n the whole car just shut down...i took it to my mechanic first, of course none of this happend when he had it, did a check on absolutly everythin n found no problems.
im takin it to an auto electrician to get it computer tested tomoro so ill see what happens...any ideas why this could be? i figured it could be the amp fuses or somthin but then again if i put my foot down a little bit then take it off the car just doesnt feel right to drive at all....

Actually I had similar problems with my fully sik ca16de pulsar a few yrs ago. Symptoms include: unusualy rev changes, vibrating and unsualy sounds coming from the engine and would die out when driving it slowly, turned out fuel pump was on its way out. Was this your problem as well?

theres a more technical name for it which i dont remember but these days its called a boost sensor, i think its got somthing to do with air a pressure release i really cant remember!!
well at first we were under the impression it could have been a crank angle sensor but nothing came up for that and the codes that did were more so to do with the fuel pump, i just hope it doesnt happen again...

Are you sure it has nothing to do with your system demanding so much from your battery and alternator?
When it was on dyno running smooth i bet they didnt have the stereo on?
So my question to you, does this happen when the stereo is off?

Seriously you'd be suprised as to what a "foolly sik system" can do to your car, so like simon says, could be the issue...

Well by the sounds of it the people you took to get your stereo done took your car for a drive and thrashed the sh*t out of it. Now they have screwed your internals of your tranny causing it to overhead while your driving which your car is putting it in safe mode.
Just a thought.
