thanks guys!
bought the meth solution from supercheap. Sadly, it is still not strong enough to clean those century old rain water stains....... however it did clean away those adhesive marks.
Another qns: How much does it cost for a window tinting ? a rough estimation will do.
Thank in advance!

side ones are relativly easy to do yourself aslong as you have a decent quality film and remove window completely. as for the rear best left to pros butfor price someone may help you here or just ring around mate

yea. i think the sides shld be able to DIY but i think the rear and the front is really hard.... little space to work with.
im looking at this window tinting service.

do you mean you cant DIY the front or are you saying the front cannot be tint at all?
EDIT:
just checked the web. now i know the reason... don't really agree with their reasoning.
Now we have better views ahead of us but we're gonna die of skin cancer in the end.

yeah the trade off is not so good, i reckon tinted all round would be hot though

you can do a strip at the top of the windscreen. That what I've got and living in QLD I can tell you it does make a difference.

That strip at the top might give me an uneven tan !
yea back in my country ( singapore ) tinted all round looks really good and not that costly. if my memory serves me right, i think an all round tint would cost 200~600. depending on the grade of tint you want. The all round tint includes windscreen, rear windscreen and 4 side window. considering the car is a 4 door car and prices include labour!
