Can someone tell me how much a GPX FTO weighs. Trying to work out power to weight ratio to see if a P plater can drive one.

i can tell you that you're safe being in an FTO with a P-plate... I have seen P-platers on Skyline GTRs and Supras getting away with speeding fines alone, so i don't think the cops will care too much about the power-weight restriction on your licence... they have far better things to do than book you for having P-plates on an FTO (unless you do silly things like going 120kph in a 60 zone or burnouts right in front of them!)

edit: BTW - WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!

FTO GR and GPX weight the same

from memory these are :

1150 Kg for Manual / 1190 Kg for tiptronic

I couldn't find this info when I briefly checked the car manuals, so if anybody can confirm this it would be appreciated.

Maybe the weight I quoted was without fuel in the tank ?

Also note that if you have different wheels (eg 17", or simply a different brand) and bodykit that these will add more weight to the vehicle.
Weight of wheels can vary greatly, the lightest ones are usually racing wheels. Chrome wheels are usually heavier.

Also don't forget that extras speakers and/or stereo adds weight to the vehicle.

Naturally if you are sitting in the car when it gets weighed, you will have to add your weight to the vehicle as well.

remove the spare & jacks, and that's about 10kgs...
swap to lightweight 17" rims, and that's about 5-6kgs all up
remove sub/amp, say goodbye to 4-8kgs+
swap to carbon fibre wing/bonnet/boot, that's about 8-10kgs
replace std exhaust with full titanium system - minus 5kgs
remove back seats - take off approx 3kgs
remove carpets - that's about 2 kgs

so all up, there is potential to shave off about 45kgs - at a cost though!
