I hate double demirits ....

I like how it gets promoted to save lives, and slow people down on the roads as everyone travels interstate and what not...

But it really sh*ts me that cops sit in residential areas, and stuff like that, just to get people that are 5k and over .... I just fail to see how policing these area's cuts the road fatalities... But just my vent ....

I was driving around today and two guys in XR6 utes were both pulled over in the same place by road patrols sitting out of the cars, I'm guessing hoon laws. Bad luck to them D:

the new hoon laws are bullshit anyway.
seriously, how can a bloody burnout kill people?

stupid old farts complaining about too much noise from a little slippage.
one of my mates was driving his XR6T ute from the lights, and because there was no weight in the back and 12psi of turbo (slightly wet..), the backs tyres stepped out a bit (alright..when i say a bit, they really did kick out a lot..). Long story short, he got threatened by some undercover cop in a commonwhore that they would take his ute and sell it if he got caught again.
honestly..how are you supposed to help it if you're trying to get somewhere in a hurry and your 12psi kicks in?

alright.
go ahead. explain how a burnout can kill people.

remembering a burnout in the tradition sense of being stationary, and or maybe accelerating to the top speed of the first gear.
i fail to see how a burnout like this could kill..even if a complete retard does it in a commonwhore and manages to lose control into a couple people..the impact would be 40km/h max..it would hurt like hell, sure, but wouldn't kill unless the car had spikes welded onto the front.

uhhm u just said that it will hurt like hell, therefore it causes danger so maybe thats why they banned them :slap: Not mention that yes u can die from being hit at 40k's, if u roll under the car your f***ed

Besides i really dont find any point in doing a burnout unless your trying to get rid of your tires

ok some things for you to have a look at.

http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/ ... 61790.html

http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/news/stor ... id=2906969

yes the two are drage cars I cant find the street car ones at this time but it is all the same thing.
and what ever way you put it a burnout is a burnout if its at a stand still or 120Ks an hour.

did you see the car in question?
no where on earth could that thing POSSIBLY be street legal.
the reason you cant find the street car ones is because there are none.
no street legal or street drivable car that would be owned by 'hoons' would be able to hit 120km/h+ while spinning the back tyres.
as i said..maybe 40km/h, but not much else.

I had one of my cars taken from this hoon law bullshit ... It was when they first came out...

Cops were 3 cars back at a set of lights, reakon they heard me and a mate revving our engines to say we wanted to drag (He had an auto) and when the lights went green we accelerated to the speed limit, and that was that...

Cops claimed they heard a burn out (and saw smoke coming from my back tyres - from my FWD car), and took our cars on the spot ... Held em for 3 months, and we had to pay towing, and all impound fees...

When the cops pulled us over, they asked who did the burnout, and we said neither, and they asked what speed we were doing ... In the police fact sheet is where they mentioned the RWD burnout, and revving of engines they could hear from 2 cars back (when they were actually further), with their windows up and VKG on ... They also claimed we were doing 120k's because of how they had to accelerate to catch us ... No sh*t, you are f**king 3 cars behind !!!!!!!

The 2 cops were in a sh*tty rodeo, and 1 was a constable, and the other was a proby constable ... So tell me, what would they honestly know, and what experience... When we were trying to get the cars out early, one of snr sargeants at the station though that the 2 officers were harsh, and he would have just issued a warning... But hoon laws are percieved by the issuing officer, so if they think you are in the wrong, you are ... That is what sh*ts me the most about them ...

what about this

get a s**tbox car, do up the engine, don't get a cannon, and leave it looking like it was left in the 80's, then do an accidental burnout in front of a cop, and see if he goes after you. he'd probably just look at the car and think "lol, f**king p plater in sh*tty VW beetle" and go away

EDIT: not promoting unsafe driving or anything, but it'd just be interesting to see

That is the point .. But it is not "Don't drive like idiots", it is "don't drive like the Police may percieve you as being an idiot".

And even if you are not driving like an idiot, they can just make up sh*t to say that you were ...

Our legal system has moved from being innocent until proven guilty ... It is now guilty (and you better have a good solicitor) until proven innocent ... That is what sh*ts me the most...

i agree with don't drive like an idiot, driing like an idiot is for the track only, but the honest times when you spin your wheels, or do an accidental "burnout" shouldn't constitute you car being taken. like in my previous post, it'd be funny to see if the cops would also take a crap box of a car away because of accidentally putting your foot down too hard off a standing start in the wet. actually, i'd like to see an old crap box achieve a wheel spin, that'd make my day. my focus has wheel slippage when doing a standing start on a hill, like most cars would. but would that consitute my car being taken because of gravity?

i lol at the RWD burnout on the cop fact sheet post. you should have filmed it, you film a cop, you get out of most fines and traffic ofences because they rarely do anything by the book these days, and you can prove that within the NSW legislation that yo'uve been wrongly done by an officer of the law, getting you outof an un deserved fine, and giving that cop a reality check. what was the speed limit btw, i'm guessing 60

wasn't there a time when the police were nice and understanding rather than corrupt and ruled by a quota? "book 156415468564 p platers, an L plater and 20 full licence holders, no matter if they are doing nothing wrong and then you get a raise"
