I have recently been facing idling issues and cutting off when cold. Searched the forums and am trying to clean the stepper motor as part of the initial troubleshooting.

The bolts are stuck. I tried using WD40 and used a screwdriver to open the bolts. No luck. Donno if I need any other tools(socket tools/wrenches) to open these bolts...The space to work is so limited too...Any suggestions please?

Take the intake pipe off and use a 10mm socket ;)

:D Yeah it was a 8mm socket...

Btw, I cleaned the stepper motor, unhooked the battery cables for 1 hour, hooked back again. Started..same idling issue...the car idles when cold..I have to keep reving it for a while and then it sits around the 0 mark(mabbe 100 rpm)..
Not sure, what else can I check..

I am a noob with electrics, could someone send pics of how to check the ECU code or a vid on youtube? As in what wire to plug and what does earth the cable mean? :( Don't want to burn the cables by doing the wrong thing....As I have done a ECU reset, by unhooking the battery for an hour, how long does it take for the ECU to relearn the error codes?

Thanks.

If there is a proper error, it will come back straight away. I'd be inclined to replace the stepper.
