FTO AUSTRALIA

Hi guys! Just got a FTO GPX, however, the thing is
1stly, the colour of the FTO, it's in white, but it isn't the kinda reflective white. Looks abit matt. Is it the original colour of the FTO?
2ndly, when driving on highways, I can always hear ticking sound coming from the dash, not sure what is it but only happens on highway.
3rdly, when the car is in idle, there is a "yyyyiiiii" sound that somehow sounds like a alarm or something, pretty annoying.
Lastly, when I shift the gear to neutral (ATX), there seem to be a fan turning or some sort of thing blowing at the engine I suspose and when I switch back to Drive, the car sort of jerk abit to the front.

I know there is a lot of problems with my new FTO, but wasnt sure if its normal or there is some problems with the car. Thanks guys in advance! This is my first FTO!

welcome to the fto site, you came to the right place for help, i would be lost without all the help i've got so far from the ppl here.

OMG!!! you bought a white one??????????? lol jk.

sounds like a few routine maintenance issues, like gearbox oil and filter change, i'm assuming it's a tiptronic auto g/box. how many KL'S on the car??
ticking noise might be something simple like stone/object stuck in the fr tyres???
how does that noise sound again??? yyyyiiiiiii lol
all the problems will ''come out in the wash" most have been discussed on here somewhere before.
you did'nt mention how you like the car so far, apart from a few small probs. i don't think you will be disapointed with it for a fun car to drive.

first paint prob faded try giving buff

second would have to hear sound but could be just tyre noise on road

third prob powersteer/alternator belts are loose need tightnen or replacing easy and cheap to do or could also have air leak in induction or throttle body area

lastly thats just thermo fans to keep motor cool they will switch on regulary and sound like your tip box might need oil change or could be engine mounts not to bad of issue

all the above are normal wear and tear items on any car too look after it and you will get many kms of good driving
